Re the apple peeling comp - memories, as a teen (in the 60s), I was in the finals of the Bay of Plenty apple peeling contest (NZ). Had to send my apple peel in the post to the radio station in Tauranga (we lived in a small country village about an hour away), then the finalists were called into the radio station for an 'on air' peel off. I had no idea there were still had such competitions - or that they were so serious! Maybe I should get my peel on ready to try for a trophy:)

Ok, so didn’t get far past the doggy day care…just kept watching on repeat…..

They filmed the LHOTP reboot locally! I tried to sign up to be an extra but didn't get the call. Also local artisans made the fibre goods for the set!
