Around the grounds
It’s Mother’s Day today in Australia (and other places), so my eldest (daughter) and the youngest in our family (little June, my granddaughter) went to yum cha together … or as we like to call it MUMCHA. We had such a lovely time and June managed a whole hour sitting in the highchair, being entertained by the passing carts of steaming deliciousness. High recommend.
When we went home, June and I played a game where we made a pathway out of flat wooden toy stepping stones and then I marched one of her little toy horses along it and she guffawed at the horse’s trotting along EVERY SINGLE TIME I DID IT. So THAT was rewarding. For all, really ...!
What are you watching?
I’m finally getting around to watching the very sweary and silly and brilliant comedy-mystery DEADLOCH. Many laugh out loud moments, many familiar Tasmanian locations, thoroughly loving it and I’ve only finished the first season.
Silly joke of the week
Why is swimming with sharks so expensive?
Because it could easily cost you an arm and a leg!
Hoping your week ahead is the very best it can be, dear reader. I’ve just made a batch of scones, so I’m already ahead.
